Hi - I, too am looking for a White member - my grandfather is Levy White and was a Cherokee Indian - how do you go about looking up the Cherokee Land listing? I can't believe that no one on the net knows any thing about him - have you had any luck? Thanks for your help.

I'm not up to speed on the History of the Cherokee's. But the name is same as one of my family members. Where was the Cherokee Nation? There is some reason for them chooseing this Irish name. Either by marriage or by respect for the person carring this name. Unless they were given this name by the Gov. Do you know any history about the way Indians changed there names and why. I love the Indian culture. We have alot to learn from it. Tell me what you know about the Cherokee's and what part of America was there homeland.
