Wainfur or similar

Posted by Helen Gardiner nee Wainfur <kevin.gardiner4@virgin.net> on Thu, 09 Dec 2004, in response to Re:wainfur, posted by Gareth Nelson Wainfur on Fri, 03 Dec 2004

Gareth - I was born in Newport in 1964, my father is Kenneth Edward Wainfur, his father was Nelson Wainfur (your great uncle). Your grandmother was Maud Wainfur and she was the sister of Nelson and Eve. Their parents moved to Newport in the early 1900s from Wrangle, Lincolnshire. Can you give details of your family from your father onwards? This is one line of the family that I don't know of. I have traced the Wainfurs in Lincoln and the reason it is difficult to trace is because they spell the name "Wainfor". There was quite a few of them that moved to America in the late 1800s. Any info on your family would be great. Cheers Helen
