My name is Fred Allen Cullop and I am a descendant of Peter Kohlhepp who came to America in 1750 to Smyth County, Va. I am 55 years old and work for a land developer in Cashiers, NC. I have visited the Cullop Stone Tavern in Atkins, Virginia and other places that are significant to this family. I'm proud of my name and those who share this blood usually share my sentiment. Let's keep it going.

Do you know from which area of Germany your Kohlhepp family came? My Kohlhepp family, which also has a Peter, came from the area of Heubach, Hessen, Germany and surrounding areas. I am trying to coordinate all the Hessen Kohlhepp families as well as the Bavarian ones near the border.
