I am desperately trying to establish where my ancestors prior to 1650 in Aldbourne, Wiltshire came from. The parish records for St Michael's were lost in St.Omer's, France previous to that date. Although I do have listings of Stotters in the 1500s in Lincolnshire, and the 1300s (as Le Stotere) in Norwich. I have unable to establish a link. So if there is anyone out there with information, please get in touch.
