looking for paternal g-mothers family

have run into a big block. paternal g-mas father was calvin e. sharp, listed in pa 1880 census as free inhabitants, g-maather was also listed as 3 years of age. know my g-ma was iroquois[sseneca] and she visited chief cornplanters res until she was quite old. calvin was bornin 1850 and died in 1929. g-mothers married name was ida adelia weidaw. i have not been able to find out what a free inhabitant is. any help would be greatly appreciated. her mother was mary c. huffman born in 1858. g-ma was born in wilkes barre pa and died in hunlocks creek in 1938. she was born in 1877. i need all the help i can get with this.
