Searching Scherles

I am currently searching for ancestors of August Scherle. He came to America from Baden, Germany about 1855. He came with brothers Francis and Antone. August married Rosalia Ges/Geas/Geos in St. Louis, Missouri on 7 Aug 1861. He settled in Monroe and later Randolph Counties, Illinois. His brother Antone moved to Perry County, Illinois. I don't know what happened to Francis.

August is my ggrandfather on my father's side. I know the areas where his children settled, but nothing of his ancestors. I also know of Antone's descendents.

Does anyone know of the whereabouts of Francis's descendents? Or anything about August's ancestors?
