Steckowski

Posted by Michele Krutch-Paonessa <ganm.92@gmail.com> on Mon, 21 Sep 2009, in response to Raynor - Are you related?, posted by Patricia (Raynor) Bouzianis on Sat, 03 Dec 2005

Patricia,

I have a great aunt who lived in NY whose name was possibly Stella Steckowski. It's sort of sketchy, you see, my great-grandfather, John Steckowski supposedly fathered two children after immigrating to the US. One was Stella and the other John. They moved up to the Long Island, ny area, so the story goes. My great-grandfather, John, died in the early 1930s, so we lost the connection that far back. My grandmother, his daughter was born in Poland and immigrated here in around 1912. I think he came around the turn of the century 1900, give or take a year or two. Do you think that your mother could be my great aunt?
