Found this website by accident.Can't help you with Sprague but Carson is definitely Scottish as by the way is Hutchinson ( Comes from McCutcheon which would be of very,very distant Irish descent since the Scottish Gaels came from Ireland)

  I believe Genter is of German descent. My grandmother's name was Schumaker. So I'm thinking I'm more German than anything else.

          First of all...I'm terribly sorry to say this, but by those two last names and what nationality you stated, I can't really help. It appears your ancestors were slaves, due to the last names. (After the slaves were free in the Civil War, they took on the last name of the person who "owned" them). Another helpful tip is that most slaves back then were partially white....
