Fenerty
Posted by Denise Coughlin-Keys <irish620x@hotmail.com> on Wed, 10 Jun 2009
My Grandparents are David Eugene Fenerty and Anna Carmella Montague Fenerty, both born in the 1890's in Philadelphia, PA. My Grandfather's Father was Martin Fenerty and his Mother was Mary Manion. My Grandmother's Father was Joseph Montague (deceased in the late 1890's) and her Mother was Ellen (aka Ella and Helen) Curran. All of the above are from Philadelphia, PA (Port Richmond section). My Grandparents had seven children (this list MAY be out of order): Frank, Helen, Joseph, David, Mary, Anne, James. David was killed on July 11, 1944 in WWII in France where he is laid to rest. I would love to exchange/share pictures and information as we try to build our Family History. (Past spellings may have been Finnerty, and in Ireland - Fennaughty.) It is my understanding that four brothers emigrated from Ireland with their parents, but the parents died on the trip. The brothers are Owen, Martin, Dennis, and the fourth name escapes me.Responses
