George Dikes

I have a great great grandfather named George.He came from the Carolinas and settled in Maringo county Alabama. On his death he was carried by ferry across the Tombigee River and buried in Choctaw county Alabama. I believe he is buried by a son named Jim or William.
My history is spotty because some forefather changed our name from Dykes to Dikes or so I have been told. If you have any info.please e-mail me.
