try googling geneology research. there are places that can email you kits where you send them a sample of your blood and they will test it for your DNA which will have mitochondrial evidence of where your ancestors are from. I know that the National Geographic has done it and traced millions of people back to one woman in Africa (maybe eve?). There is the little issue of money though, it can cost a pretty penny. Some places can cost about $240, and some can go for about $119. good luck.
