I am trying to find out what type of indian I am so i can finish a long project in the making of a family tree for my father,I have asked my dad what type of indian i am and i have not got any closer to the answer , he at one time told me it was not a known tribed name , like cheyene or cherokee however,I have some of cherokee in my blood but i am trying to finish this project by fathers day of 2008 and i have been working on for many years.
If anybody could please tell me where i would go or how to go about finding out that would be great.

Joseph and Nicole, we may all be related, my dad has the family history book however, they will not send it to me so hopefully after the first of the year i will be going down there and maybe i can find the book and write down some information from it and get my answers. I know theres also money that will help if you also know that you are indian. I just know thatmy great grandfather and my grandfather were indian they were born in LA. or around LA so if anybody could please send me an email i would love to hear anything.

Sincerly,

Jamie Mayfield "Wilson"
