Liptrap originally came from Germany
Posted by Lucille <Annah@todays-tech.com> on Thu, 20 Mar 2003, in response to Nationality, posted by Jennie Scopac on Mon, 17 Mar 2003
My mother-in-law's maiden name was LIPTRAP. Her father had said that the LIPTRAP ancestor originally came from Germany, but he wasn't certain where in Germany. The original spelling of it was LIOBTRUT. The first Isaac Liptrap (spelled Cliptrap) came to the US in 1772.Responses
