I had an aunt Hilda, my mother's (Lotte/Charlotte) sister, who emigrated to Rio de Janeiro and our family lost touch. I do remember now that her married name was Altman. There were two other sisters: Margot (who perished in Germany) and Ruth (who lived in London but mum never kept in touch with).

I only met my aunt 'Hilda' once and deeply regretted that my mother had not kept in contact with her South American family or sister Ruth. My mother died 5 years ago and I never had any details of her South American sister.

Your grandmother is my aunt! Do let me know any further details. Are you still living in Brazil?
