Polish/Russian/Prussian homeland

Searching for: Koffski homeland/original name of Erzy-Koffski shortened to Koffski. Said to be Polish or Russian. Leonard Koffski left homeland 1850-53 to avoid sons being drafted to conflicts. Leonard said to be an officer in ? military.
