Subject: Bostic name

It could be that Martha Bostic was related to the Bostics in Arkansas. I don't know a lot about my grandfather's family but he probably did have relatives in Tennessee and, yes, I have blood type A and am left handed and my son is left handed but so was my father who was a Williams, not a Bostic. I read somewhere that Bostic (or a similar spelling to that name) was Slovenian, making it a slavic name.

your blood type is A. is it RH negative. a person is either positive or negative. so is it A positive? or is it A negative? daddy's mom had dark hair and the deep dark brown eyes. do you or your children have hair and eyes like that? daddy's mom's full name was martha jane bostic. she married james graves in claiborne county, tennessee. marth was third of five children 1)eva 2)della lavada 3) martha 4)ollie josephine 5)Axa Ann. martha died at the age 34 of pneumonia leaving five small children, of which my daddy was one of them. i guess without more info there is no way of knowing if we are related. a chart i had sent to me has john masco bostic; valentine bostic; callip bostic; obida bostic. does any of those names sound familiar? if so we could be related. i believe, if i've got it right martha mother was ollie josephine thomas. her mother was sarah gross thomas. well it gets confusing. if you will, let me know if any of these names sound familiar.

My blood type is A positive. My grandfather also had dark hair and eyes. His name was Matthew Wade Bostic and he married Laura Lee Bell Harrod, a woman of English decent. They had 8 children who lived: William, James, Peter, Ethel, Priscilla, John, Charlotte and Berry. All had dark hair and all except two had blue eyes so that is in line with your grandmother's dark hair. The names you mention don't sound familiar but some of the names of the five children sound slavic. Yes it gets confusing and I am not in touch with any of the Bostics in arkansas anymore but if I get any more information I will let you know via this website.

Not sure if my last message got through. Matthew Wade Bostic was married to Laura Lee Bell Bostic and the eight surviving children all had dark hair and most had brown eyes. They had a farm in Vilonia Arkansas. The names do not sound familiar but of the five little children some of the names sound like they could be Slovenian.

I don't know anything about my grandfather Matthew Wade Bostic or his siblings as he died when my mother was only a child around 1923. He lived with my grandmother on a farm in Vilonia Arkansas but they must have moved there as my mother was born in Denning Arkansas in 1908. I would really like to find out more about his side of the family because I don't know anything about them or the Bostic name.
