Acoltzin

El apellido deriva de Acoltzin, señor de Culhuacán que fue asesinado por Nezahualcóyotl.

Se supondría que toda la gente que lleva el apellido son sus descendientes, como es el caso de los Moctezuma, por ejemplo.

Tal cual ocurrió con los descendientes de Moctezuma, los descendientes de Acoltzin se mezclaron con nobles españoles.

Por lo tanto, podríamos decir que se trata de un linaje perteneciente a la nobleza indígena mexicana.
