Nuncio desde España

Hola:
Soy Juan Nuncio, hijo de Saturnino Nuncio Y nieto de Teodoro Nuncio, ambos nacidos en Mata de Alcantara, Extremadura, España. Mata de Alcantara es un pueblo extremeño no muy alejado de Portugal.
Dado que el apellido Nuncio no suele ser muy común, al menos por aquí, me ha parecido interesante encontrarlo en América y me pregunto hasta qué punto podríamos estar emparentados. No sé, quizás podría yo investigar más allá de mi abuelo con el fin de saber si habría algún familiar que emigrara a América. No sé, cuándo, en qué condiciones, etc.
Si yo pudiera saber en qué fecha se encuentran ya ascendentes suyos en América podría situarme para comenzar una investigación al respecto.

Por cierto, mi padre se traslado de Mata de Alcántara a Igualada (Barcelona), donde nací y vivo.
