si, al parecer es una deformación del apellido, en algún área, al parece en la zona sur de Chile (octava o novena región). Esta deformación puede haberse producido porque fonéicamente puede ser confundido con: Sieguel, Segel, Sigel, Segal.
Por comentarios que hechos en mi familia, las personas originarias con el apellido provienen de Francia o Alemania, sin embargo, pensamos que puede tener un origen judío, ya que Sieguel tiene ese origen y en estos países ha existido una fuerte presencia de cultura.
