Re: HUNT Family

Hello Peter:The surname HUNT survives on the island of Samoa in the Pacific Ocean arriving from London, England, in the early 1800s.
I have heard HUNT could have started out as a german surname HEINZ.
Here in America HUNTS and HEINZ, two popular makers of catsup, one german and the other owned by an Italian heiress whose husband ran for the presidency against George W. Bush and we know who won.
Very interesting - I'd never thought both names could very well have derived from one beginning.
I wonder if China or Afghanistan may have a HUNT surname in folklore? Some more avenues to add to my genealogy "to do" list - Well, Peter, unless we were there In The Beginning... we are pretty much left with our own decision as to how anything began. Good luck and "don't sweat the small things". Regards, Responses
