Whoa Anna,Whatever hapenned to the legendary Australian sense of humour, or is it only funny when its directed against the poms. As you well know many English names in Australia originate from the time it was used as a penal colony. It is an amusing fact rather than a critical appraisal of current generation morals.
I would be interested in where your Grandparents came from as it appears that we all hail from one family but it is difficult to identify the strands and where they meet.
Lighten up

Phil,
I understand Anna is going to get back to you re my husbands forebears. If we are related I would be interestd in meeting you next month as we will be vising UK for two months. Tony has never shown a lot of interest in family trees, but it seems both our children are interested. I am a little put out that they are not interested in my side of the family, but got the response "Davey is so common, Gurnhill is rare!". Looking forward to hearing from you.
Cheryl
