  Dear Eola,

  I am Pierre DELPUI, my wife is Marie-Therese HENRY, (we are 65 years old) the grandfather of my father was born in Italy in Piemont in the village of San Damiano di Macra near Tende. He came in the south of France and he was a shoemaker. Then my grandfather was also a shoemaker. My father was a teacher, and I am doctor, a child specialist.

  I have a book about the story of the italian people who lived in the village where I was born and this book says that expatriate peolple boarded for Argentina or came into South Of France in a village called Bargemon (VAR).

  I hope that you'll receive my message and I'll watch this forum.

    Im so glad you answered my email, I thought I had lost contact with you.
    My grandfather was born in Paglieres; province of Cuneo in the Piemonte region in 1903.He was a blacksmith. His father was Giovanni Delpui and his mother was Catterina Simondi. He arrived to Argentina in 1927. My father is a carpenter and he came to the United States where I was born. I’m 26 years old. And I would really like to know something about his family, because since he died very young we lost all information about them.

      Hi Eola,

      my parents tell me if you want they can post you the book about Italian people (but this is a french book). I don't want you let your postal address on this forum but you can mail it me (frederic-delpui@wanadoo.fr) or at my parents (pierre.delpui@wanadoo.fr). My father (pierre delpui) said me Paglieres is near the village of their grand parents.
