clark/atherton from Michigan

my paternal grandparents are Lonnie Clifton Clark and Nora Ann (Atherton) Clark. They were from Michigan but grandpa's parents, John Wesley Clark and Lillian ? were from (Missouri?). Grandma's parents, Ward Atherton and Gertrude ? are completely unknown to me. All I know about them is that one of them was of indian descent (possibly 1/2 indian).
