Cattarinich shipbuilders and sailors

Hello everyone:
My name is Russell Barnes. I am a local historian living in Biloxi, MS. For several years, I have been researching a family named Martinolich who came from Lussinpiccolo, leaving there in the 1880s for South Mississippi. One of them was a man named Matteo Martinolich and he is the primary subject of my research.

During that research, I have been uncovering several details about Lussinpiccolo and its seafaring heritage. It has become very interesting and I am trying to learn more. Recently, I came across records of many ships built at Lussinpiccolo in the mid 19th century, several of which were built and/or captained by Cattarinichs. Between building ships and owning and captaining them there are over 2 dozen vessels in which the Cattarinichs were involved.

One vessel, named Plod, was built by the Cattarinichs at Lussinpiccolo in 1861. This was a small brig rigged vessel of 414 tons. It was the ship that brought Matteo Martinolich to New Orleans in 1883.

Now, here is a question. Does anyone have any other knowledge of the ships they built or sailed? Any old photos, or other memorabilia from the shipyard etc? Now that I have learned a little about them, I would very much like to include some material on them in the Martinolich family history I am planning to write.

If I can share any other information from my research, I will gladly do so. Thanks for any help.
