Abraham Brown and Susannah Tripp, NewField, Tompkins County NY

does anyone know the parents of Abraham Brown? I don't know who his parents or siblings are. I only was able to find Susannah Tripp's whole family line. Please help!Descendants of Abraham Brown

Part III - Family Sketches
BROWN, Alvah D., was born in Newfield, May 7, 1849. Alvah, Sr., was a native of Scranton, Pa, and came to Lansing in 1806, and to Newfield in 1808, when a child. His father, Abraham, was a hotel keeper. Alvah. Sr., bought a farm of 300 acres of land, and made a specialty of the raising of cattle. February 26, 1832, he married Lydia CLARK, and they were the parents of seven children. Of these Alvah was the youngest, being now forty-four years of age. The latter has followed lumbering and farming, and now owns a place of 100 acres, as well as other places, and fellows mixed farming. In 1870 he married Elizabeth SMITH, by whom he has one child. He married second, in 1885 Luella SMITH of this State, and they also have one child. Our subject is a member of the Grange, and has been justice of the peace, assessor, and notary public.

MARGARET E. LONGCOY
NEWFIELD - Margaret E. Longcoy, 83, of 622 Trumbulls Corners Rd., Newfield, died Thursday, September 24, 2003. She was born in Newfield, daughter of the late Freemont and Anna Orcutt Brown. She was retired from Cornell University where she had worked for 32 years.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 63 years, Clinton J. Longcoy; her son, William Longcoy; granddaughter, Valerie; two great-grandchildren; nephews and cousins.
In keeping with Margaret's wishes, private graveside services will be held in Trumbulls Corners Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Bangs Funeral Home.
