Hello,
As you can see I too am a Cousar. While surfing the web for my family surname I came across your postings. My families roots are out of the Manning/Gable/Sumpter area of South Carolina. My Father moved to the Philadelphia area as a young adult. I am aware of family in Baltimore and Virginia so based on your post I am sure that we are close relatives. Feel free to contact me, I will put you in touch with my immediate family historian. She lives in the DC area and has extensive knowledge of the family tree. I hope this will help in your search.

  I am a Couser. My father, Hugh still alive lives in Ohio. He was born in western Pa. As once his twin sister, Helen. She now lives in western pa. He also has 2 other sisters. One in pa and the other in ohio. We don't know much about the Couser family tree.
  I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters also. My sisters live in Ohio and my one brother lives in Indiana, the other lives in Utah.
  I would love to hear back from you if you have any information on the Couser name. I know my grandfather was named Benjamin and his father was David. But that's all I know.

Hi Starcia
It has been about two years since I spoke to you. I hope that you are still at this address.
I have been under the weather. I stopped the research of my family. I am doing much better and have started the research again.
I entered the Cousar surname into anywho. Your name appeared. There is an address for a Starcia Cousar listed in Lancaster, S C.
I am going to be in Lancaster the 4th of July weekend. I would love to meet with you or someone in your family.
I hope to hear from you, regarding my visit to South Carolina.
Reminder of my family's history.
My grandfather was Willie Phillip William Couser, call Will.
He married Martha Mackey. They had five childen that I know off. The youngest being my father Willie Cousar. My grandfather and grandmother are buried at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
