looking for my dad

i am 21 yrs old , i was born in plymouth were my father (alan fleetwood) and mother (lorraine pepperell) lived for 3 yrs then my mother left with me and have not seen him for 18 yrs at all ive heard that he was living in the london area i think he would be in his early 40's he knew my uncle fairly well micheal pepperell but he also has heard nothing of him since i know very litle about him but would really like to trace him to find out who he is and various questions thankyou for any help anyone can give me
