Slaveholders named Gill of TN.

Posted by Vicki <vfree2@yahoo.com> on Tue, 11 Feb 2003

Can anyone tell me how to locate slaveholders? I have found out that my g grandfather was named Andrew J. Gill. Gill being the name of the people his mother "worked" for in "the big house"
His mothers name was Ernestine...married a Thomas Claybourn/Clayborne in about 1895 or so.
I'm not sure where to look for this information. Thank you.
