Pat on the Back

Several years ago we wanted to break our conference room down into more specific topics. Among the first were the New England, the Southern, the Canadian and the African American special interest groups (SIGs). The way we did it was to allow the people that were interested in running these SIGs to step forward and take charge of them. From the beginning the person who has been standard bearer and the rock on which we built the African American SIG has been Valencia King Nelson (GFS VKN). With her strong hands she molded the African American SIG into one of the strongest and most informative groups within our forum and indeed online. In recent years she has taken her talents with administration and has taken over the personnel management responsibilities within the forum and helped us build the forum we have today. For all her hard work and effort I am proud to present to Valencia the Pat on the Back award for this month.
