"Sunset"
from the Grand Canyon Suite

a.k.a.
Aert @aol.com

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamonds glints on the snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in morning's hush,
I am the swifter uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circled flight
I am the soft star that shines at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am no there, I did not die.

As we stop and ponder
what Aert meant to each of us,

I would like to share some of the
memories of Aert that I do have.

The reason I picked the Grand Canyon
Suite music instead of the normal
Memorial fare, Is because
Arthur dearly loved Arizona
When he and I did talk we often talked about
such things as road runners, cacti, the Canyons around
Phoenix. There was always awe in his words
when he spoke of Arizona.

Aert had a good sense of humor.
I recall when one time long ago that we were talking
about our Beach connection in the Tree House.
He said he was just an Ole Son of a Beach !
So once in awhile he would come to the room and I
would ask how is the Ole Son of a Beach doing!
He would always reply with a positive answer,
Even when he was so ill that he could not stay and talk
long he would always say Aert is doing great!

Cuz you will be greatly missed
You were a kind and gentleman and I am
proud to say that I knew you!

Adios mi Amigo
Till We Meet again!

Greatest of Sympathies to Arthurs's family. Arthur will be missed greatly by everyone whose life he touched. What a joy he was to know and see in the Treehouse. It was my honor to have been lucky enough to chat with him once in a while. Now you probably have your answers to where those lost relatives were! Go with God my friend.

Oh my gosh, I didn't realize that Aert wasn't doing so well, I know I missed Cuzzie Aert in chat lately.... I am deeply sadden by another loss of our extended AOL Genealogy Forum members... He was a joy to chat with and exchange information. We used to laugh about our common ancestors and so many other things. I will miss not seeing him in my chats. He was a jewel of a man and a delight, too. May G-d watch over him and show him those missing twigs in our tree and may his family keep him close to their hearts always. And may our Father in heaven, King of the Universe grant you peace and love at this sad transistion in your lives.

To the family and loved ones left behind. Art will always be the ANGEL OF MY PRAYER "Dear God above way up in Heavens high, Send me an angel To stand by my side One who is gentle, One who is kind, One who is witty, One so sublime For I am in need here, In need of a friend, So send me an angel To help my heart mend" And there you stood, The angel of my prayer, "Oh God above, Soaring up in Heavens high, You sent me an angel, Who is still by my side, My angel is caring, My angel is dear, My angel, refreshing Ever erasing my fear, For I am now blessed, With an angelic friend, You sent me an angel To help my heart mend", And there you stand, The angel of my prayer!

To the family of Art, My heart, prayers and condolences. Art was a fine gentleman, one of the best in Tree!! I know he will be missed deeply. To Art, Now ya ol' son of a Beach (grin) you are with all your other "Beach" ancestors and know who they are. The search is over my friend. May the angels guide you, may you always have peace. It was an honor to have known such a brave and kind person. Always, RA

Comments: Like a clear Arizona desert sunset, Aert has reached a new horizon. May the peace at the end of day be with his family and friends. From a Beach cousin.

Art and I had many, many ancestors in common. Before he became ill, we were working to tie our connections closer to a common set of ancestors. He and I exchanged a great deal of data between the two of us, I shall always feel a bit short changed that I did not work harder to accomplish our family connections to a definite connection. Art, you are now free of the agony, hurt and illness that has plagued you for this past year or more. You are in God's Kingdom where there is no more hurt, everything is Joy and Good Will now. We shall all miss you in the Treehouse. May God Bless and Keep your family free of further sadness and distress.
