The Irish and Scot special interest group in the Golden Gates Genealogy Forum will continue a course of study in the how-to's of Irish genealogical research. Classes will be held every Friday night in the Ancestral Digs chat room (AOL Only ) at 10:00 PM Eastern. Subjects to be covered are:

5/3/02 - Manuscripts - What is a manuscript? What criteria is used to make it a manuscript? Of what use are they? How and where do I find them?

5/10 - Deputy Keeper Reports - What is a Deputy Keeper? What can his Report tell me? Once I've seen the report, what then?

5/17 - Directories - What is a directory? How can they be used to help my research? How do I find them?

5/24 - Genealogical Office - What and where is a Genealogical Office? Will they do my research for me? How do I contact them?

5/31 - God's Frontiersmen - One man's view of the Irish emigration to PA during the 1700s. Paints a great picture.
