From The Top

The Genealogy Forum has come a long way since the early days of AOL. In those days there were about 3-4 of us running the forum and it had a message board, file library and a chat room. The chat room was used once a month on the first Sunday of the month. It was 5 years before we found out that you could only have 23 in the old style conference rooms. I recently came across a list of all the files in the file library in 1989 and there were only about 50 files there.

Today we have the most successful set of genealogy conference rooms anywhere in cyberspace. With over a 100 staff members, we provide the best in monitored chats every night of the week. We offer a wide array of topics which range from beginners to many ethnic topics. We even have our famous Treehouse that is always an open topic.

Our most popular area is our message boards and Surname sections where people can leave information about their ancestors or find places to look for more information. Our File Library has thousands of helpful genealogy files that includes one of the largest collections of free gedcom files found anywhere.

This is your genealogy forum so I encourage you to become part of it and jump in on the fun.
