Ronald Vern Jackson, age 53, died November 4, 1999 at his home in SLC. Born March 12, 1946 in San Francisco, CA he was the son of Leslie Vern and Shirley Zachrison Jackson. He was a world-renowned expert in genealogy and was the author of numerous publications.

He is survived by his children: Wendy (Tyler) Ellsworth, Mesa AZ; Melanie (Scott) Hyde, Havelock NC; Katrina (James) Endrizzi, Mesa AZ; Lenora (Tom) Stevens, Austin, TX; Heather (Darren) Turley, Mesa AZ; Nancy Jackson, Mesa AZ and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandchild, Devin Todd Stevens. He will be remembered for the many early American censuses that he indexed, for the Accelerated Indexing System (AIS).
