Submitted by GFSRhonda@aol.com From Ancestry News Mailing List Dear AncestorNews Subscribers, I'm sorry I didn't have this information when AncestorNews was published on Saturday, however I think it gives subscribers a great opportunity to participate in an interesting project. Because time was an important element, I couldn't wait to publish it two weeks hence. I received an e-mail from Charles Miller, who is producing a series of documentaries for BBC Television. He asks for your help with the series. Here is his e-mail message:
Dear Nancy, I am interested in genealogy for a particular film in this series which will look at things that can be done on the internet which would otherwise be impossible, or very difficult. I think the great amassing of genealogical information through sites like Ancestry.com and others, which invite people to contribute their own family trees to an ever-increasing database, is a unique and fascinating development. Would you be able to help me, I wonder, with some particular research for the series? I would like to contact people who have discovered things about their own family history through the internet, and whose story has some kind of present-day British element - either because they are British themselves, or because they have made contact with distant cousins in Britain from the States or elsewhere. I'd like to contact people who'd be prepared to talk about the possibility of sharing the story of their discoveries as part of this series - initially on email or the phone (my details are below). If you were able to let your readers know about this, I'd be extremely grateful. Many thanks, in anticipation, and best wishes,
Charles

genealogical connection with a cousin in Britain, please contact
