Quick
Tips on Finding Information

If
you are having problems finding out someone's
birth date and you know where they died and
the year, look up obituaries in the
newspapers that were around in the time they
died. Obituaries sometimes give birthdays.
This will at least give you something to go
on.
If
you live far away from the place you are
researching, hook up with someone in that
town such as a historian, someone from a
historical society or a person from the
Family History Center of a Mormon Church.
They may be willing to look up some things
for you, although you may want to reimburse
them for their time. It's sure less
expensive than hopping on a plane and doing
the research yourself. There are a lot of
people out there that do genealogy as a
hobby.
Also
send all your family history that you have
discovered to the Mormon Church in Utah
because other people may be able to add to
your tree or your great-great-grandchildren
may want to look you up when you are gone.
Have fun discovering your family.
