The Power of the Pen

I ran into your site while surfing and have an idea which you might find interesting. In l979, while living in Santa Barbara, California, I was introduced to PATRICIA MEADE-WHITE . She had been doing genealogical research for over 40 years. Ms. White had been a columnist with the New York Times, and wrote a column entitled: "AMAZING AMERICA," which was published in the weekly Travel section. As a result of her column, and the obvious influence of the NY Times, the U.S. signed 22 treaties with Latin-American countries. Amazing achievement, and an outstanding example of "the power of the pen"! Considering she wrote this during Depression even more outstanding. To make a long story short, with another friend we did President Reagan's genealogy. Ms. White went to her reward in 1984, so yours truly is the only one left to tell the story of the President's book on his roots.
