and Where to Find
Them

Records
are everywhere, and they are many
things. Photographs are records
of people, events and places. IF
dated they are of times also.
Letters are records. Letters sent
to family member, are records
that list family personal
history. If you write a letter,
your documenting history of
sorts, even if just family
history.
I
love to watch "IF THESE WALLS
COULD TALK " on HGTV, they are
forever finding things in attics,
and crawl spaces and in between
walls. Sometimes they even find
hidden rooms full of items
families had completely
forgotten.
To
be real honest there are more
than one good program on that
channel that is genealogical in
nature without ever calling it
genealogy. The History Channel
also has good programs that many
times will spout off names of
whom ever is related to whom they
are talking about. In other
words, they are making the
programs more genealogical
without saying they are
genealogical.
Libraries
have many resources to explore.
Ever look at a WHO's WHO book in
the library. They are in the
Reference section, not the
History section and not the
Genealogical section either. The
Reference section of library has
much genealogical research
works.
Believe
it or not records are everywhere
and in many forms. Do not
overlook a record, not realizing
it is a record.
