Pat on the Back

This month marks the sixth anniversary of one of the steadiest and best genealogists we have on staff. Milt Botwinick is one of the rocks we have built the Genealogy Forum on. In 1996 we were really just starting the concept of ethnic chats online. Prior to that, people that had unique problems had to wade through the mainstream genealogy chats and message boards. Milt was a pioneer in this new form of online genealogy when he came to me and asked if he could host the Jewish Chat which we set up on Thursday nights. Every Thursday since then Milt has been there to help people with one of the more difficult forms of Genealogy, Jewish Genealogy.

A few years ago I was honored to get a chance to actually meet Milt when I attended the National Genealogical conference met in Valley Forge, Pa. Milt was everything I expected him to be, intelligent, hard working and a very knowledgeable genealogist.

For all the wonderful things he has done over the years and all the people he has helped, I want to give my friend HOST GFS MiltB the coveted Pat on the Back Award.
