Make A Musical Slide Show

Submitted by HOST GFS Robin@aol.com

Last Christmas we were stumped as to what to get an out of state brother who was coming to visit. While listening to a song called "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" it dawned on us that we could take pictures of him, from birth to present, and make a video with that song as background. And that is what we did. Using a program called Video Producer (available at Best Buy and I'm sure, other software stores) all we had to do was cut 'n paste the pictures/music in. We then transferred it to both VHS and CD for him.

Since we were successful with this, we also made another video in memory of our Dad. We had so many pictures that it took two songs. We used "Memories" by Barbara Streisand and "Daddy's Hands" by Holly Dunn.

The response from our brother was priceless. To say he was thrilled is putting it mildly. We also sent the Memory's video to our other brother and sister, who were also very pleased.

While I made this sound quite simple, it was actually a time consuming process so now is the time to start if you want to do something like this. Considerable time was spent gathering photos, scanning them, resizing etc... It is not a weekend project, but the end results are well worth the efforts.
