AfriGeneas--Award Winning Genealogy Site

CONGRATS to the AFRICAN AMERICAN TEAM, in particular Afrigeneas!

Chosen by
Genealogy at BellaOnline
for the month of July, 2001.

AfriGeneas is this month's award-winning genealogy site. AfriGeneas is the place to visit if you have any interest in learning about African-American ancestry and genealogy. Included onsite are many articles covering a wide range of topics, census data, obituaries, surname database of queries, slave data, and community bulletin boards. Several mailing lists, message forums and chat rooms are also available for instant sharing of information. The related links page contains plenty of links to keep you busy for many hours. I particularly like the layout and navigation features at AfriGeneas. Navigation bars make moving from page to page easier. The Library Table of Contents provides quick access to the available articles. If you need to learn more about ancestors of African-American descent, then you need to visit this site.
