School Records
![]()
Remember when you started to school? Your parents had to prove that you were a certain age before you could be enrolled. Well, think of school records as being another avenue to locating birth records.
Often you'll find that school records, particularly primary school records, include place of birth and birth date. While these may not be acceptable primary sources, they may lead you to other places and other information. Some school records required extensive information, including name of family physician. That opens another avenue for you too!
Don't overlook school records as a resource! Not only can they help you with vital statistics, but now you can also find out what kind of student the individual was too!
