This is some information that I obtained from the:

I received it in April of 1993. In an accompanying letter they explain that due to limited staff and the length of time needed for genealogical research, they are not able to provide extensive research service through the mail. They did send three pages from the "Michigan Cemetery Atlas" which shows the location of cemeteries near the towns that I had mentioned in the letter. They also state that they have copies of tombstone readings for several of the counties in Michigan.
