The story begins with Samuel Lee in Scotland in the 18th century. Next William Lee is a teacher in Philadelphia, Pa. who is a thrifty real estate investor. Near the end of his life he buys 25,000 acres from William Penn's heirs in what is now Buck Valley, Union Township, Fulton County, Pennsylvania. In the 19th century the land is sold off farm by farm by the descendants and only a few of the Lee lineage live on it today. Still the story may be of interest as the line became part of many present day familys in the region.
