Will of Job Bishopp, dated November 15, 1692

November 15^th, 1692, I Job Bishopp being weake of body, though of perfect memory & right understanding doe give & bequeath my soul to God Almighty, my body to y^e earth from whence it came.

Item. I give unto my daughter Mary Bishopp y^e one halfe of my land w^th y^e whole buildings I now live in wd th Tarr & Sumtt & all their increase w^th y^e feather bedd & the bed & all things thereto belonging, one great iron pott one kettle.

Item. I give to William Elmes y^e other halfe of my land w^th old Pepper & her stock & young wenchy & her breed.

I give to Paul Child two heifers about eighteen months old, one from the stock of Mary, the other from William Elmes, to be delivered w^thin three months after my decease.

Item. I give unto Joseph Child one heifer about eighteen months old & y^t if anything else shall be found y^t I have foregott y^t it may be equally devided betwixt my daughter Mary Bishopp & William Elmes.

On y^e 31^st March 1693. Letters of Admon: of Est: of Job Bishopp decd:
with his will annexed and warrant of appraisement were granted to Thomas Elmes Planter by the Hon: Phillip Ludwell Governor of y^e Province of Carolina.
