Obituary of Mrs. Annie Mullinix - Highland Park Topeka Daily Capitol Friday March 25, 1977
Mrs. Annie Mullinix - Highland ParkMrs. Annie Mullinix, 89, 2513 Illinois, died Thursday afternoon at a Topeka convalescent center where she had been for two days.
She was born January 11, 1888, in Bevier, Macon County, Missouri;, to Daniel S. and Nancy Jane (Cooley) Richardson, and came to Herington, Kansas from Missouri in 1920. She lived in Wakarusa and Overbrook before moving to Topeka in 1948.
She married James E. Mullinix in Jefferson City, Missouri. He died in 1950. Two sons, George Mullinix and Edgar Mullinix, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include four sons, Daniel Mullinix, Phoenix, Arizona; William O. Mullinix, address unknown, W. Orlie Mullinix, 3000 Swygart, and Lee Otho Mullinix, Lincoln, Nebraska; a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Godfrey, San Diego, California; 37 grandchildren and 38 great-grand children.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Ted Tibbitts Highland Chapel. Burial will be in Topeka Cemetery. Mrs. Mullinix will lie in state after 3 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
